|An Inside Perspective From GOAT
We’re all guilty of abusing our ears by listening to gossip. I try my best not to talk negatively about people & it makes me uncomfortable when others do. Sometimes I use music to vent about things I refrain from complaining about publicly, mainly because I don’t like to emit noise pollution. This track is a perfect example of that. Plus, gossip always reminds me of that game called “Telephone” we played as kids. You sit in a circle, whisper, then the secret completely changes by the time it gets around. Ain’t no point in running your mouth cause most of the time, the info is inaccurate. My philosophy is…
Until you’re perfect, shut up.

For me, this track was like…shut up! Really though, shut your mouth when you’re talking to me? I said, “GOAT, that don’t make sense, ya see?” He was like, “exactly.” Delusional ranting of a misinformed mind occurs from the abuse of our senses brought on by gossip. Imagine a day without talking trash about one person, place, or thing. Or even talking at all, like GOAT’s senseLESS Cleanse experiment. I wrote this music to GOAT’s hook that was an inspired and truthful melody, which leads to the Rock-Hop verses to let you know what’s really going down. I wanted a beat with heavy swing and swagger that would transform and layer to parallel the lyrics.

G.O.A.T. is always going to bring the greatness of that melodic flow, which is quite a refreshing sound, especially when mixed with clear cut lyrics. He is great at delivering meat in edible pieces – that takes skill. I’m always fed when I take a moment to dip into G.O.A.T.; forever delivering on his name’s sake. With arrangements that dare to contrast and yet blend so brilliantly within this light rock feel of a song wrapped in a hip-hop bounce, he is walking the walk when he implores us to speak up!

|An Outside Perspective From Chris SwitchBlade
I’m one of the biggest fans and critics of GOAT, been privy to his music for over 5 years. “HearSay” is my favorite track of his thus far. The track alone hits harder than furry knuckles on a silverback’s chest. It still feels like a musical progression, not a reinvention. Lyrically, GOAT has been quite introspective and when he first delved into the senseless project, I felt the product would be more of the same. NOPE! My man is actually spittin’ with more of an in-your-face delivery and lyrical dexterity than I’m used to seeing from him. Now if I could just get him to smoke a pack of cigarettes a day or swallow some gravel to roughen up his voice, this track would be perfect. Mark my words – GOAT is gonna be the Willie Nelson of hip-hop in 30 years, just gets better with time.
